New Movement
An
anti-imperialist group in solidarity with the Puerto Rican Independence
movement, this collection contains pamphlets, monographs and bulletins.
Originally part of the Puerto Rican Solidarity Committee, it formed an
independent organization to support all aspects of the Puerto Rican
Independence Movement - including clandestine groups on the island and
in the Diaspora. Issues included the freeing of Puerto Rican political
prisoners, an end to the US military presence in Vieques, ending forced
sterilization of Puerto Rican women, and economic and social justice for
Puerto Ricans living in the United States.
